Vďaka tomu je užitočným doplnkom k ostatným nástrojom používaným v oblasti elektroinštalácií. Káblový strihač bol špeciálne prispôsobený potrebám profesionálnych užívateľov a používa sa ako v elektrotechnickom obchode, tak aj v priemysle. Môže sa použiť na rezanie a odizolovanie Cu/Al drôtov, ako aj na opláštenie koncov drôtov 0,5-4 mm². Rezné hrany nožníc sú zúbkované. To umožňuje hladký rez bez skĺznutia kábla.
